In accordance with the announcement of Governor Andrew Cuomo, distance learning will continue for the duration of the school year. Online registration for 2020-2021 school year will begin in June. Board election will be conducted electronically. We will also explore a safe way to celebrate and honor our Class of 2020 graduates, teachers and volunteers.

The school will continue remote learning through end of May. Please note that 5/10 (orig. Snow Make-up Day) is a regular school day. No classes on 5/24 in observance of Memorial Day. Revised 2019-2020 School Calendar

Three positions on the HXNYC Board of Directors are open for the 2020-2022 school years. Each position is a 2-year term. School members in good standing are eligible to run for the positions subject to verification by the Election Committee. The Election Committee consists of 5 PTA members or their designees.

Candidates must submit a written petition to the HXNYC Election Committee with (supporting) signatures of 10 voting members by May 10, 2020. The Election Committee will prepare and publish the list of candidates three weeks after the announcement of the open positions.

Candidates are required to make a presentation to all school members on Election Day, May 31, 2020. Previous experience in serving the school is highly recommended. Candidates should disclose outside directorship at any other organization(s).
